This year Strategic Technology Associates celebrates their 15th anniversary. We’ve extremely proud to be adding years to our count while continuing to learn from our experiences and partnerships. As a Managed IT Services provider, we believe our success is due to our clients’ success and we couldn’t be more honored to walk this path together.
Our Journey
Our journey started in 2007, when Sean Robertson recognized an opportunity to bring enterprise level technology management to small and medium business and founded Strategic Technology Associates (STAI). Spending many years leading customer service and technology teams at an Executive level provided a strong foundation for building a client-focused, results-oriented information technology services company. Sean is often heard saying how proud he is that his first customer is still a valued customer.
Based in Moncton NB, we operate throughout Atlantic Canada using a different strategy than most other technology service providers. The business model used by STAI doesn’t permit profit from client computer problems. Instead; technology is managed proactively to minimize downtime and save money for clients.
A few years later, Sean joined a select group of North America’s leading I.T. experts to co-write what turned out to be the Amazon best-selling book, “The Business Owner’s Essential Guide To I.T. And All Things Digital”. He also became well known for his expertise in developing technology management solutions for law firms, manufacturers, and municipalities. Some of our clients – such as Actus Law, the Town of Riverview, and Malley Industries – have been with us for a long time, building and growing strong our partnerships.
IT support and mission
We have found that too many businesses are hindered by ineffective IT. Our mission is to provide IT solutions that liberate businesses from inadequate IT environments. When you have effective IT, your employees become more productive, your customers are better served, and your business thrives.
Although most of the solutions we recommend improve productivity, others are about protecting data from cyber-attacks, ransomware, and data breach. As a courtesy to all businesses, we offer cyber security tips that you can sign up to receive by email and educate yourself on how to protect what’s yours.

Finally, we’d like to say that our journey has many more years to go, looking for better ways to help our clients work smarter and not harder. We would also like to thank all the people who have helped Strategic Technology Associates grow over the past 15 years.
